Hacksaw Ridge screamed historical embellishment. I also thought the film was insanely preachy. I get that the film was about a religious man, but it's obviously extremely possible to make a film about a religious person and not make it a preachy film. Silence was about priests and it didn't feel nearly as "GOD IS THE BEST" than Hacksaw Ridge.
