Tamron 18-400mm lens with EOS 6D? 01-18-2018 07:36 PM. Will this lens work on on Canon 6D? I see it is compatible with Canon and Nikon, but it is an APSC lens, and the camera has a full frame sensor. I am still fairly new to photography and wonder if these two items are compatible?

The field of view is identical but the measurement is different. The full frame 6D (using a Tamron lens made for full frame cameras) is at 24mm. While the 60D (using a Canon lens made for crop sensor cameras) is at 15mm. Yet the pictures are identical. They have the same real-world focal length.
